Claire Teresa (Foley) Pinzone
Of Waltham, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020, surrounded by her loving family in her home at the age of 92.
Born on September 21, 1928 in Newton, daughter of the late James A. Foley Sr. and Rose A. (Enos) Foley. Claire was raised in Newton and has resided in Waltham for 70 years.
A graduate of Newton High School (Class of 1946); Claire started her career as a secretary for a Newton real estate company. After meeting her husband Tom, she worked in the family business as a waitress at the Colonial Kitchen. She was a devoted and loving mother, staying home to raise her children. Claire owned and operated a bookstore ‘The Booky’ with her son Joseph in Waltham for several years. She later worked as an Administrative Assistant until her retirement, after which she spent many years traveling with family and friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas J. Pinzone Sr. and her loving son Kenneth T. Pinzone.
Claire is survived by her devoted and loving children Joseph J. Pinzone of Waltham; Thomas J. Pinzone Jr. and his wife Tabitha of Merrimack, NH, and Carol A. Dudek and her husband John of South Weymouth; her cherished grandchildren Tommy, Tyler, Travis, Zachary, Grace, Jonathan, and Emily; her adoring great grandson Landon; and her dear sister Nancy Frechette of Abington. In addition, she is survived by many nieces, nephews, close friends, and extended family who loved her dearly.
She was predeceased by her dear siblings, James A. Foley Jr., Edwin C. Foley, and Mary D. Foley.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Claire’s Life at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, WALTHAM on MONDAY morning Sept. 28th at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham.
