Obituary for Linda M. Byam

Linda Marie Byam

Of Waltham, passed away peacefully early Saturday evening March 21st, 2020 in Newton - Wellesley Hospital at the age of 58.

Born on September 28, 1961 in Lowell; daughter of the late Shirley D. (Kelley) Byam, Linda resided in Waltham for the majority of her life and for a period of time in Billerica.

Linda graduated from Waltham High School with the Class of 1979; she furthered her education at Bentley College graduating with a degree in Public Administration in 1983. Always striving for greater heights and knowledge; Linda pursued higher education graduating from Harvard Law School. Her professional career was spent as a Paralegal at the Hale & Dorr Law Firm in Boston.

Linda loved exploring history as an avid Genealogist. Her passion for history led her to become a member of the Mayflower Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Although always reading up on history she enjoyed keeping up with current events and her spirited discussions with family and friends about politics. Her knowledge on so many topics made her a trivia fanatic. When she was researching history or keeping up with current events; her other greatest enjoyment in life came from being a diehard Boston Red Sox fan.

She cherished the time spent with her family and friends; and they in return will forever treasure those very special moments that she touched their lives.

She was predeceased by her beloved mother Shirley and her loving brother George.

Linda is survived by her devoted & loving siblings Beverly Luttazi of Taunton; and John Maceira and his wife Jenny of Virginia; her cherished nieces & nephews Olivia, Natalie and George; her dear aunt Beverly Lee and her husband Larry of NH; and her very close friends Beverly Chiarelli and Ann Liebergen. In addition she is survived by many of her loving cousins in the Beaumont Family.

A Graveside Funeral Service in celebration of Linda's Life will be held for her family at Fox Hill Cemetery in Billerica.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Linda's memory to the MGH Cancer Center, 55 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02117.
