Jane E. (Tyman) Davis
Of Waltham, passed away Tuesday morning September 8th, 2020 at Newton Wellesley Hospital at the age of 73.
Born on April 2, 1947 in Newton, Jane was the daughter of Joseph and Esther Tyman. Nearly a lifelong resident of Waltham, Jane spent the last 6 years in Norwood with her son and family.
A graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1965, Jane married her high school sweetheart Jack Davis in 1966 and started their family. She went on to study to be an X-Ray technician. Years later, she worked at Fieldwork Boston and The National Birth Defects Center in Waltham.
Jane was a loving wife, mother and “Mimi.” She cherished her grandchildren and the time spent with them. She loved to read, shop, keep up with politics and spend time with friends. Each night, Jane would amaze family members by rattling off Jeopardy answers. She was a fighter, persevering through many health issues throughout the years.
She is predeceased by her devoted husband Jack Davis, beloved son Jeffrey Davis and siblings Patricia, Joseph, William, Steven, Richard and Jackie Tyman.
She is survived by her loving children Kerry P. Jacques and husband Steve of Wallingford, CT and Waltham Firefighter Andrew Davis and his wife Cheryl of Norwood, her cherished grandchildren Tyler and Leah Jacques and Donovan and Killian Davis. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
For the safety of those we love and care about during this difficult time; and for those who wish to pay their respects to Jane and her family can do so in accordance with CDC, Federal and State guidelines in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody Street, Waltham, MA., on Saturday morning Sept. 12 from 8:30 - 11:00 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 920 Trapelo Road, Waltham on Saturday morning Sept. 12th at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery.
