Obituary for Angela Alfeo

Of Waltham, passed away peacefully early Thursday afternoon March 5, 2020 surrounded by her loving family in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a lengthy illness at the age of 70.

Born on April 7, 1949 in Aragona, Sicily; daughter of the late Giovanni and Girolama Chiarelli. Angela immigrated to the United States after her marriage as a young woman almost fifty years ago. She resided in Waltham where she raised her family and spent the rest of her life.

Angela worked at Unitrode Corporation of Watertown and Drape It in Waltham for many years.

Her family was the central focus of her life; she cherished every moment spent with her children and most especially her grandchildren. In her spare time she loved sewing, tailoring clothes, tending to her garden, and being an amazing cook for her family.

Angela was predeceased by her beloved husband Giovanni Alfeo in 2010.

She is survived by her devoted & loving children; Joseph Alfeo and his wife Maria (Caruso) Alfeo of Waltham; Teresa Bottaro and her husband Anthony Bottaro of Dedham; Gina Arcuri and her husband Paolo Arcuri of Maynard; and John Alfeo and his wife Valerie (Washburn) Alfeo of Waltham; her cherished grandchildren Joseph, Lorenzo, Sofia, Dominic, John, Angelina, Ella and John; her dear siblings Marianna Mula of England; Francesca Chiarelli and her husband Raimondo of Belgium; and Vincenzo Chiarelli and his wife Gina of Italy; and her sister-in-law Rosaria Parla of Italy. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.

She was predeceased by her dear brothers Raimondo and Rosario Chiarelli.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of Angela's Life from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Wednesday morning March 11th at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River St., Waltham, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home Tuesday March 10th from 4-8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
