Leona A. ( Gaudet ) Lindsay 61,
Died suddenly Saturday morning at her home.
Born in Waltham Leona has been a Life long resident here. She attended St. Pierre’s School and continued on to Graduate with the Waltham High School Class of 1976. She continued her education at Northeastern University graduating in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
She was a software engineer having been employed for many years with the Instrumentation Labs in Bedford.
Leona was a Communicant of Saint Mary’s Church, and was active in the parish community, participating in many parish activities, being a member of the Parish Choir, Saint Mary’s Church Knitting group.
Leona enjoyed playing cribbage with her husband , billards, bicycling and traveling cross country with her husband Gary.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph Gaudet and mother of the late Jonathan Gaudet.
Leona leaves her devoted husband of 41 years Gary W. Lindsay, her daughter Jennifer and her partner Lauren Lindham of San Diego, California, her mother Margaret ( Roach ) Gaudet of Waltham, her siblings Bobby Gaudet and his wife Peggy, Paul Gaudet and his wife Claudia, Arthur Gaudet, Edna Gaudet wife of the late Edward, Bernice King and her husband David, Elaine Lail, Dianne Koch and her husband Bob, Marie Devine and her husband Jack, and her adored Grandchildren Julia, Mason & Wesley, and her loved Nieces and Nephews, Grand Nieces and Nephews. & Cousins.
Leona’s services will be held on Thursday February 20th from the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, Waltham at 9:00 am with a funeral Mass in Celebration of her life at Saint Mary’s Church, Waltham at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be in the FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will follow at a later date in the family lot at Mount Feake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers it is requested that expressions of sympathy be made in Leona’s memory to the Joslin Diabetes Clinic. www.joslin.org. Parking attendants will be on duty.
