Obituary for Anna E. Hill (Mancini)

Of Waltham passed away peacefully on Thursday January 9th, 2020 in Care One of Lexington at the age of 85.

Born on June 15, 1934 in Watertown; daughter of the late Antonio and Emma (Zaccagnini) Mancini, Anna lived in Watertown for many years before moving to Waltham in 1969. She spent many summers with family & friends in Manomet and Marston Mills.

Anna had been employed as a Secretary at the Raytheon Corporation in Waltham for many years but throughout her life was a devoted and loving homemaker to her husband and children.

Proud of her Italian heritage, she loved cooking and making her famous sauce and meatballs. The family got together every Sunday for Anna's homemade dinners. She was always making sure everyone was well fed.

In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, sewing, shopping, reading and teaching others.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Daniel Phillip Hill in 2013 and her loving son Francis X. "Frank" Hill in 2015.

Anna is survived by her devoted and loving children; Catherine Hill of Waltham; Michael Hill and his wife Lisa of Tewksbury; Daniel P. Hill Jr. of Kona, Hawaii; and Kenneth Hill and his companion Martha of Huntington Beach, California, her cherished grandchildren Timothy, Stephen and his wife Lindsey, Bryan, James, Theresa, Jason, McKenna, Keegan and her adoring great grandchildren Tristen, Gianni, and Natalie; her dear siblings Rose Falvey of Brighton; Richard "Butch" Mancini of Falmouth; Anthony Mancini of Falmouth; and Dottie Casella of Bourne. In addition she is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dear sister of the late Nicholas Mancini, Nora Noe, Viola Daniels and Peter Mancini.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services from the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Thursday morning Jan. 16th at 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Anna’s Life at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 920 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Wednesday Jan. 15th from 3 – 7 p.m. Parking attendants on duty.
