Rosalia (Barba) Russo
Of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening December 5th, 2019, surrounded by her loving children at The Bailey Community Center for Hospice in Saint Augustine, Florida at the age of 76.
Born on January 19, 1943 in Aragona, Sicily; daughter of the late Salvatore and Teresa (Criscenzo) Barba.
She was a life long resident of West Newton, Massachusetts and has resided for the past several years with her daughter and son in law in Saint Augustine, Florida.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 25 years, Pellegrino Russo in 1993.
Rosalia is survived by her loving children, Nicolina Zuschlag and her husband Walter of Saint Augustine FL; Rita Manning and her husband Mark of Franklin, MA; and Joseph Russo and his wife Sandra of West Newton, MA; her dear sister Josephine Albanese and husband Vincent of Plymouth MA; dear brother George Barba and late wife Liliane of Watertown MA; dear brother Francesco Barba and wife Ina of Waltham, MA; and dear sister Angela Ireton and husband Fred of Arlington, MA. She is also survived by 5 cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Madison, Pellegrino, Joseph and Reese, and many nieces and nephews.
Rosalia is also the sister of the late Alfonso Barba of Waltham, MA.
Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of Rosalie Life from the The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Monday morning Dec. 16th at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Sunday Dec. 15th from 2 - 5 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty
