Obituary for Theresa Giovannina DiMatteo (Dellicicchi)
Of Waltham, passed away peacefully early Friday morning October 4th, 2019 at the Newton - Wellesley Hospital at the age of 94.
Born on January 26, 1925 in Newton; daughter of the late Domenico and Maria (Lombardi) Dellicicchi, Theresa was a resident of Waltham since 1964. Theresa was a devoted & loving wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother to her family throughout her life.
She was employed for a period of time with IMI Medical in Watertown as a Production Supervisor for many years. Although her life truly revolved around and was focused on her family. She loved to make everyone feel welcome at her home and she had a passion for cooking. She had the patience of a Saint; she had a kind heart and was generous in every way possible.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband George E. DiMatteo in 2008.
Theresa is survived by her devoted & loving daughters Janet Dowcett of Waltham; Joyce L. Taylor and her husband Ronald of Waltham; her cherished grandchildren Shelley Chartier; Kristin Ziegler and her husband Tim; Paul Chartier; Zachary and Nicholas Taylor; her great grandchildren Madalyne Chartier and Jackson Chartier-LaFlamme; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces & grand nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings Nicholas Dellicicchi; Josephine Dellicicchi; Rocco Dellicicchi; Mary Ann McGuire; Angelina DeSimone; Andrew Dellicicchi; John Dellicicchi; Joanne Castellano; Anna DiGiacomondrea; and Rosemarie Wolfenden.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Theresa's life in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Wednesday morning Oct. 9th at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday Oct. 8th from 5 - 8 p.m.
