Obituary for Ann Lingos (Ciavardone)

Ann Lingos of Waltham Massachusetts passed away on Wednesday, September 25th, 2019 at the age of 85 following a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease and a more recent struggle with Leukemia.

She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Lingos for 38 years before his passing in 1998.

Ann grew up in Watertown before meeting her husband Charlie from Somerville. They married and settled in Waltham where they raised their three daughters while working tirelessly to build their hospitality business.

Ann’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She enjoyed spending as much time as possible with family and friends. She was devoted to caring for her family as well as any animal in need. Ann adopted many rescue dogs and cats, nurturing them and providing them with a wonderful and loving home.

After her husband’s passing, she devoted her time to serving her local community for many years volunteering for Meals on Wheels of Waltham as well as the former Waltham Hospital Gift Shop.

Ann is survived by three children and five grandchildren; Debbie and her partner Dr. Gregory Brick of Wellesley, MA; Alyssa and Matthew Little and their children Colin, Caitlin and Jayson of Natick, MA; and Nicole and Sean Spillane and their boys Charlie and Liam of Darien, CT.

Ann will forever be remembered by her children and grandchildren for her genuine warmth, kindness and great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
