Obituary for Grace Benson
Of West Roxbury, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home early Wednesday morning September 18th, 2019 at the age of 92.
Born on May 26, 1927 in Boston; daughter of the late Francis and Grace (Wharton) Benson, Grace resided in Dedham for many years before moving to West Roxbury 7 years ago.
For over 30 years Grace attended the Rogerson Community Day Program. She had a love for stuffed animals, pictures and cards but most especially she loved to celebrate her birthday. Grace was a ball of fire that had a unique personality and was never at a loss for choice words.
Grace is survived by the devoted & loving Staff of MAB Community Services, her fellow housemates of Church Street in West Roxbury and her niece Cheryl Benson.
She was predeceased by her dear brother Francis Benson.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Grace's Life in the Saint Michael's Cemetery Chapel, 500 Canterbury Street, ROSLINDALE on Monday morning Sept. 23rd at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery. Visitation will be held in Saint Michael's Chapel prior to the Funeral Service from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
