Obituary for Dominic Richard Coraccio

Dominic Richard Coraccio 95,

Of Derry, New Hampshire, formerly of Waltham, died suddenly Friday in New London, Connecticut while visiting family.

Born in Utica, New York coming to Waltham as a young child and living here almost 65 years then moving to Derry, New Hampshire where he has resided for 30 years.

Dominic had been employed as a production supervisor for the W.H. Nichols Company of Waltham until his retirement.

He was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School and went on to serve with the United States Army during W.W. II as a Corporal with 101st Port Marine Maintenance Company in England and Cherbourg France.

Dom was an avid bowler and enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and music.
Dom was a former member of the Waltham Lodge Dante Alighieri Sons of Italy, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in New Hampshire and Londonderry Senior Center where he was a regular at Tai Chi and Yoga. He enjoyed coin collecting and woodworking, breakfast with his friends and dancing with the love of his life, his wife Marie.

He was an avid Notre Dame Fighting Irish Oklahoma Sooners fan. He loved visiting Hawaii and traveled there more than 50 times with his wife Marie.

The son of the late Salvatore & Antonia ( Rubino ) Coraccio , the brother of the late Joseph Coraccio Sr., John Coraccio, Mary Juliano, Anna Kenney, Anthony, Guy and Salvatore Coraccio.

Dom leaves his wife of 70 years Marie L. ( Richard ) Coraccio, his children, Loretta M. Coraccio & her partner Nathaniel Morton of Manchester, New Hampshire, Rick Coraccio and his wife Susan
Aprill of Wareham, Ma, Mrs Elaine M. Kelley and her husband Gary Kelley of Greenwich, CT. and Neil T. Coraccio and his wife Carolyn ( Lacy ) Coraccio of Derry, N.H., the other Loves of his life, his grandchildren, Jason Coraccio, Schuyler Norman, William Coraccio, Ian Norman, Julianna Coraccio, Kara Coraccio, Drew Coraccio & Grace Coraccio. In addition he leaves many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to share Memories with Dominic's family on Sunday February 23rd in the Mary Catherine Chapel 773 Moody Street, Waltham from 1-3 p.m. Services in celebration of Dominic's life will be held in the "Mary Catherine Chapel" of the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, Waltham on Sunday February 23rd at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway Rte. # 3, Boscawen, New Hampshire on Monday February 24th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of Flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory the the Londonderry Senior Center, 535 Mommoth Road, Londonderry, New Hampshire 03053. Parking attendants will be on duty.
