Thomas F. Lunny
Of Burlington formerly of Waltham, passed away, early Wednesday morning, September 4, 2019, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was 69
Born and raised in Waltham to the late Thomas and Dorothy (Holmes) Lunny, he was a longtime resident of Waltham until moving to Burlington in 1991.
Thomas was a graduate of the Franklin Institute of Technology and worked as an Architectural Engineer for Lincoln Labs at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Thomas was a card-carrying member of MENSA.
In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed going to the beach, movies, listening to music, especially Pink Floyd, Chinese Food, seafood, Chewie the Cat, and most of all spending time with his cherished grandson Tyler.
Besides his grandson, Thomas is survived by his loving children Colleen Plant and her husband Jason of Burlington, and Evan Lunny and his fiancée Matthew Letson of Lowell, and his cousin Don Glawson of Waltham.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Thomas’ life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., Waltham, Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4 – 8 pm. Parking attendants will be on duty.
