Obituary for Raymond Albert Daigle Sr.

Raymond A Daigle, Sr – 92

Of Wayland, MA and Dover, NH – passed away at home on September 2, after a brief battle with cancer.

Mr. Daigle is survived by his wife of 71 years, Lucy (Gargano) Daigle, his daughter Cynthia Daigle Xenakis of Wayland, his son Paul Daigle and his wife Amy of Ocala, FL, his grandson Jason Xenakis and his wife Gigi Megeed of New York City and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Daigle was the last surviving child of four children born to the late Parmelia (Mailhot) and Telesphore Daigle of Dover, NH. He was predeceased by brothers Robert of West Virginia, Edward of Dover, NH and his sister Leona (Daigle) Wilhelm of Dover, NH.

A Veteran of the United States Navy during World War II; Mr. Daigle was on the Navy ship the USS Terror, a mine laying ship that was in the Pacific theatre. Mr. Daigle was the owner of Newton-Waltham Glass in Waltham, MA until 1989. He then worked for his son Paul at Pasta Bravisimo in Framingham until 2000, then at Marian High School in Framingham and most recently at the Home Depot in Waltham.

A service will be held for close friends and family to be announced at a later date.
