Obituary

Of Waltham, passed away peacefully Friday evening October 18th, 2019 in his home with family by his side at the age of 80.

Born on November 30, 1938 in St. Norbert, New Brunswick, Canada; son of the late Charles Babineau and Edna (Robichaud) Babineau. Emile has been a resident of Waltham for the past 60 years and spent many years vacationing with his family in Clinton, Maine.

Emile was employed as a Bus Driver throughout his life with the M.B.TA. for 17 years and with the Waltham Public Schools Bus Transportation companies for over 30 years.

He was extremely proud of his French-Canadian heritage and loved to travel with his wife back home to Canada visiting family & friends. He enjoyed all different types of arts & crafts; he also had many passions in life including flying small aircraft as a private pilot, deep sea fishing off of Gloucester; but no greater passion then spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Emile had a strong faith in his God and was a devout parishioner of Saint Mary's Parish in Waltham serving as an acolyte for numerous weddings and funerals.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 56 years Irene (D'Ambrois) Babineau, and dear siblings the late Elise Gaudet, Marie Leger, Jeanne Lagare, Suzanne Babineau, Baby Emile Babineau and Lauraine Bourgois.

Emile is survived by his loving & devoted children Cecile Babineau of Waltham; Ronald Babineau and his wife Joanne (Sweeney) Babineau of Marlborough; Paul Babineau and his wife Deborah (Sherman) Babineau of Waltham; his cherished grandchildren Matthew Seeholzer of Texas; Michael Seeholzer of Waltham; Kevin Babineau of East Bridgewater; and Emily Babineau of Marlborough; his adored great grandchildren Jett, Thomas, and Brinley; and his dear siblings Ella Gaudet of Bouctouche, NB; Eleanor Mirabito of Maynard; Irene LeBlanc of St. Antoine, NB; Armand Lambert of Quebec; Laurie Babineau of Leominster; Noe Babineau of Bouctouche, NB; Therese Boucher of Bouctouche, NB.; and John Paul Babineau of Nova Scotia. In addition he is survived by many nieces, nephews and of course his cat "Bailey".

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of Emile's Life from the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Thursday morning Oct. 24th at 8:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Mary's Church, 145 School Street, Waltham at 9:00 a.m. Visiting Hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Wednesday Oct. 23rd from 3 - 7 p.m.
