Elizabeth M. Petrino
Of Waltham, passed away peacefully Saturday morning July 27th, 2019 at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston after a period of declining health at the age of 79.
Born on November 12, 1939 in the Bronx, New York; daughter of the late Hugo Sannino and Millie (Palumbo) Sannino, Elizabeth was raised in the Bronx and resided in Brewster, New York for over 30 years before moving to be with her daughter in Waltham, Massachusetts for the past 5 years.
Elizabeth was employed as a Bookkeeper throughout her life and spent her last few years with "CLC" Community Living Corporation an organization located in Mount Kisco, NY.
She was an active and devoted member of her parish community as a member of the Cornerstone Ministry of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church and Sacred Heart Church in Patterson, New York.
Elizabeth loved spending time with her family and friends; especially her grandchildren. Family was always the most important aspect of her life.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Louis P. Petrino and her dear siblings the late Marie Sannino and the late Louis Sannino and his wife the late Mary.
Elizabeth is survived by her devoted & loving children Peter F. Petrino of Brewster, New York; and Jean Marie Petrino and her husband Michael Muldowney of Waltham; her cherished grandchildren Matthew and Sophia; and her adored nieces and nephews David and Mark Sannino, of Greenwood Lake, NY, Adrienne and Michele Petrino of Cranford, NJ, John Robert Bonomo, of London, Michael Bonomo of Streetsboro, OH, Elena Bonomo of Los Angeles, CA, and Christine Bonomo of Washington, DC.
Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services from the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Friday morning August 2nd at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Elizabeth’s Life at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Thursday evening August 1st from 5-7 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
Visiting Hours will also be held in the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave # 1, Brewster, NY 10509 on Saturday August 3rd from 2-6 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to St. Jude Research Hospital, or Lucky Orphan’s Horse Rescue.
