Santina "Tina" (Ferolito) Petrino

Of Belmont, passed away peacefully on Friday evening July 26th, 2019 surrounded by her loving family in her home at the age of 90.

Born on March 31, 1929 in Cambridge; daughter of the late John Ferolito and Palma (Fietante) Ferolito, Tina was raised in Cambridge and moved to Watertown for years before moving to Belmont in 1992.

Tina attended Cambridge Ridge & Latin High School and had been employed in Food Services at Watertown High School for many years.

Her love for family was the most important aspect of her life. She was a devoted & loving homemaker to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Often you could find Tina singing her favorite song “ You Light Up My Life” to her grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, word puzzles and playing candy crush. Most of all she loved spending time with her entire family.

Tina was member of the Saint Lucy's Society Women's Auxiliary for many years.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband the late Angelo A. "General" Petrino; her loving son the late Anthony J. Petrino and his wife the late Carol; and her cherished grandson the late Keith Centola.

Tina is survived by her loving & devoted daughters Donna Petrino Murray and her husband David of Maynard; Susan Petrino Centola and her husband Larry of Maynard; and Joann Petrino and her husband Nelson Rios of Belmont; her dear siblings Lucille "Lucy" Luca of Watertown and Katherine Kelley and her husband Jack of Framingham, Sister-in-law Nancy. Sister of the late Mary Bianco, Lena Sanford, Rose Dutra, Angelina Aliquo, Domenic, Paul, Salvatore, Theresa, and Gina Ferolito. Loving grandmother to her 10 cherished grandchildren and 8 adoring great grandchildren. In addition she is survived by many nieces & nephews.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Service in celebration of Tina's Life from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 325 Trapelo Road, BELMONT on Wednesday morning July 31st at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Luke's Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Belmont Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday July 30th from 4 - 8 p.m. Please use the Complimentary Valet Parking.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Tina's memory to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or the charity of your choice.
