Of Southbridge formerly of Waltham passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, July 10, 2019 in Waltham. He was 64.
Born in Brighton to the late John and Ann (MacNeil) Kokidko, Richard spent most of his life residing in Waltham until just recently moving to Southbridge
He served honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Richard was a longtime employee of the City of Waltham in the Public Works Department.
In his spare time Richard enjoyed golfing, traveling, learning new languages, and following the local sports teams.
He is survived by his loving siblings Sheila Kokidko and her husband William Scholz of Brielle, New Jersey, Charlotte Pease and her husband John of Freeport, Maine, Margaret MacPhee and her husband Gordon of Reading, and John Kokidko of Reston, Virginia. He is also survived by his niece Elizabeth (MacPhee) Shoemaker and her husband Perry.
He was the brother of the late Mary Kokidko.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Richard’s life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., Waltham, Monday, July 22, 2019 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service Monday from 9 – 11 am. Parking attendants will be on duty.
