Of Newton, passed away peacefully early Friday morning July 5th, 2019 with his loving daughter by his side at the age of 80.

Born on September 17, 1938 in Newton; beloved son of Samuel and Helen (Guzzi) Borelli, John was a resident of Newton for most of his life. He spent several years in Weston and Brooksville, Florida.
A graduate of Newton High School with the Class of 1956; John was the owner and operator of "Newton Car Radio".
He served honorably with the United States Air Force.
John was a proud member of the National Rifle Association (N.R.A.). In his spare time he enjoyed carpentry, and building things and was always fixing something. He also enjoyed spending time on his boat and his summers in Yarmouth, Massachusetts. He loved riding on his red moped. The thing he once hated, actually started him in the business of electronics.
He is survived by his loving children John Borelli Jr. and his wife Christina of Lake Mary, FL; Melissa "Wiffie" Borelli of Watertown; and the late Steven F. Borelli; his dear siblings, twin brother Joseph Borelli of Fairhaven and Robert Borelli of Mattapoisett; and his loving & devoted longtime companion Donna Quinn of Florida. He is also survived by many cherished nieces & nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Tuesday July 9th at 10:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of John's life at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 547 Washington St., Newton, at 12 noon. Services will conclude with United States Air Force Honors. Visiting hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday July 8th from 4-7 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
