Of Waltham, passed away Friday July 5th, 2019 at the Eliot Healthcare Center in Natick at the age of 85.
Born on April 17, 1934 in Gloucester; son of the late George Joseph Alarie and Anna L. (Thompson) Alarie, Bob resided in Waltham for most of his life.
Bob proudly served with the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Bob had been employed as a Truck Driver throughout his life. He also worked over the course of his life at Puritan Dress Company in Waltham, Fincor Construction Company of New England, Rent-A-Crate and G.E. Panametric's in Waltham.
He also bartended at the French-American Victory Club in Waltham and the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Watertown.
Bob loved the outdoors, landscaping and following football. He was a huge, passionate and diehard Green Bay Packers fan.
He is survived by his devoted & loving children Jim Alarie and his wife Patty of Franklin; Bill Alarie and his wife Jayne of Bellingham; Ed Alarie and his wife Chae of North Attleboro; Wayne Alarie and his wife Becky of Sanford, ME.; Rita Hicks and her husband Robert of Marlboro; and Mark Alarie and his wife Susie of Marlboro and his former wife Katherine Alarie of Waltham. In addition he is survived by his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Graveside Funeral Service in celebration of Robert's Life with United States Air Force Military Honors will be held at Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect Street, WALTHAM on Monday morning July 15th at 10:00 am.
