Obituary for Mac Henry Surette

Of Waltham, entered eternal rest & peace on Sunday afternoon June 23rd, 2019 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after injuries sustained in an accident at the age of 17.

Born on October 3, 2001 in Worcester; beloved son of Henri Charles Surette; Mac has been a resident of Waltham since the age of 3.

Mac was entering his Senior Year at Waltham High School this coming September. During his high school career Mac was a member of the Waltham High School Hawks Junior Varsity Hockey Team. His size and physically ability made him the perfect fit to be goalie. He had a love for playing hockey; throughout his youth he played in the Waltham Youth Hockey Program and the Lexington/Bedford Youth Program. When it wasn't hockey season he played Waltham Youth Baseball in Warrendale.

He had many different interests and passions including fishing, dirt bike riding, all types of motorsports, pickup trucks, animals especially dogs.

Mac lived life to the fullest; he spent as much time with family and friends as he could, traveling on vacations to Bermuda, California and all over.

He touched many lives in such a short period of time. Mac made the decision on his own years ago to be an Organ Donor. With that decision and the tragic events that have unfolded; He will live on not only in the Hearts and minds of those that he loved and survived him but in the donation of vital organs to a 20 year old for a heart, a 60 year old man for a liver a 30 year old woman and 40 year old man for a kidney. Mac is a Hero in the eyes of many.

Mac is survived by his beloved father Henri Charles "Chuck" Surette; his cherished grandmother Joan C. (MacKenzie) Surette of Waltham, and his grandfather the late Henry G. Surette; his devoted aunts & uncles Nancy Joan Surette of Waltham, his uncle and godfather Charles Trombly III, Susan Catherine Surette and Sean Walsh of Middleton.
