Stephen Salamone

Of Deerfield Beach, FL, formerly of Waltham passed away, Friday, June 24, 2019 in Florida. He was 75.

Born and raised in Waltham to the late William and Assunta “Susie” (Nicosia) Salamone, he was a longtime resident of Waltham until moving to Florida 2 years ago.

Stephen worked in the Dairy Department of Stop N’ Shop for many years. He also served in the National Guard for several years.

In his spare time Stephen enjoyed solving puzzles, taking walks, and his cats.

He is survived by his daughter Stephanie Haddock and her husband C.J. of Reno, Nevada, his brother Francis Salamone and his wife Marilyn of Burlington, his sisters Frances Furey of Framingham and Carmela Scafidi of Waltham, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He was the brother of the late William and Orazio Salamone, and brother-in-law of the late Michael Furey and Joseph Scafidi.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Stephen’s life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., Waltham, Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9-11 am Parking attendants will be on duty.
