So sad to hear of Stephen's passing. I happened to Google his name and it sadly led me here. I would see him in the Dairy at Stop and Shop 6 or 7 years back. Then boom, he kinda fell of the map and I attributed it to him retiring knowing of his age. Our roots go back to our days at Riverside Lanes where Stephen part timed there for what seemed like years. When the Lanes closed in 1984 all of the "gang" kinda went our separate ways with no longer a "place to call home" but we were all tight for 10 years prior. Don't kid yourself, countless people knew and loved Steve that knew him from Riverside. Only wish I had known in a more timely fashion as to pay my respect to Stephen at the service. Yet I'm grateful for my concern for Stephen made me look into him and at least missed things by only a month or so. My heartfelt condolences to Stephen's family and relatives. By the way... great photo of Stephen at the top of the page, that beautiful smile of his brings me back some 35 years or more of just how he looked back then.

Stephen was the " baby" of the Oak Street Salamone Family. He was the apple of his mother's eye - Sue's favorite. Mom ( Sue ) was happy to have her baby ( Stephen) return to the nest back at home in Oak Street. The Oak Street house was Stephen's childhood home. It is there where he made even more friends and re-connected with the rest of the existing neighbors for quite sometime. Around 2017 Steve moved to Florida to retire. Stephen was beloved by all the neighborhood folks, Stevie was friendly, sweet, personable, and gracious. People loved Steve. He will be sorely missed by the neighbors and all his friends. We send our sincerest condolences to the Salamone family as they suffer this loss - our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. Rest In Peace Stephen and know you were so loved. Kathleen and Robert De Teso former Oak Street Neighbor
