Born on February 29, 1936 in Watertown; son of the late Henry and Edith (Keats) Emberley. Tom was a resident of Waltham for most of his life.

Tom proudly served his country with the United States Navy during the Korean War.

His greatest enjoyment in life came from being surrounded by his family & friends; he loved the summers in New Hampshire with his kids; Sunday dinners as a family and cookouts in the backyard. In his spare time he enjoyed reading poetry by Robert Frost and E. Houseman, cooking, knitting and doing home repairs. He also enjoyed listening to folk music. In his own words Tom said "I’ve had a wonderful life filled with love from my family & friends".

Prior to his illness, Tom was a member of Sacred Heart Parish community in Waltham and an active member of the Sons of Italy Dante Alighieri Lodge # 648 in Waltham.

Tom was predeceased by his beautiful daughter Annette Emberley.

Emberley Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Littleton, Daniel Emberley and his husband Michael Seto of Washington DC., David Emberley and his wife Priscilla of Shrewsbury, John Emberley and his wife Miho of Northfield, NH and Anthony Emberley and his wife Susan Smith-Emberley of San Francisco, CA. Angie and family, I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was such a terrific person. We had a great time when he volunteered for the City looking at old maps and plans and drawings of our town. Please accept my condolences and know that I will keep your family in my prayers.

To the entire Emberley family, I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Emberley's passing. Always loved when Mr. & Mrs. Emberley would come over to our house for visits as it meant fun stories and almost certainly some Brighams! One of my fondest and funniest memories of Mr. E. was when he appeared as Snow White in one of Sacred Heart's plays. Brought the house down when he walked on stage in that dress complete with birds flying around his head! He was one of the warmest and kindest people to walk the planet. He will be missed. Much love to you all. - Emily Tirrell - Littleton, CO.
