Of Waltham, passed away peacefully Sunday morning May 12th, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at the Sippican Health Care Center in Marion at the age of 96. Doris and her family are most appreciative of the kind and loving care that she received at Sippican Health Care Center over the last year.

Doris was born on March 12, 1923 in Waltham; daughter of the late Ernest and Eva (Houde) Newman. Doris was a very proud lifelong resident of Waltham. She loved spending summers with family & friends at her home in Onset near the beach.

Doris graduated from Waltham High School with the Class of 1940; she had been employed as a Secretary and Bookkeeper for B.L. Makepeace for many years while also assisting her husband with the family business of C.O. Beaudoin Plumbing & Heating. She was a longtime member of the Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors (PHCC) Women's Auxiliary of Massachusetts serving in many different capacities.

Her faith was first and foremost; Doris was an active and devoted member of Saint Mary's Parish community in Waltham as a member of the Mother's Club for the school and more recently with the Prayer Shawl Club for St. Mary's Parish.

She enjoyed crocheting afghans for every member of her family. She had a love for reading and made many trips to the casino's where she always played the slot machines. Another favorite pastime was music and singing. Her greatest enjoyment in life came from being surrounded by her family & friends.

Doris was predeceased by her beloved husband Conrad O. Beaudoin, her loving children Barbara Niemi, Robert & William Beaudoin and her dear sister Irene Morrison.

She is survived by her devoted & loving daughters; Judith Westgate and her husband Neil of Onset and Linda DePasquale and her husband Anthony of Hudson. In addition she is survived by her cherished 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews, and many lifelong dear friends.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of Doris' Life from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody St, WALTHAM on Monday morning May 20th at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Mary's Church, 145 School Street, Waltham at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Sunday May 19th from 2 - 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association or The Berkshire Hills Music Academy at 48 Woodbridge St, S. Hadley, MA 01075.

Doris Beaudoin passed away last Sunday, Mother's day. I had the great honor of being by her bedside when she went to her maker. Who was Doris to me? She was my aunt and my second mom. My mom, Doris's sister, passed away 35 years ago. She was my godmother and my confidant. I spoke to my "auntie Dor" almost every day. The summers were the best because I saw her almost every day. We laughed a lot and cried together too many times. She was the most loving caring aunt anyone could ever wish for. I love you with all my heart and will miss you always. Rest in peace now with the family and friends that went before you. Say hi to my mom and give her a big kiss for me. Your loving niece, Trish
