I’m writing to say how sorry I am to hear of Sister Patricia’s passing. My connection to Patrica’s is that Patrica’s mother, my Aunt Katherine, was my mother’s sister and along with my Aunt Ann. They were three McDaid sister’s who came to this country from Ireland as young girls and supported each other and their families all of their lives. Sister Patricia was a pleasure to be around and a very important person to by brother and sisters and myself growing up in Cambridge and Arlington. I’ve really only been in personal contact with her a few times in recent years. Once at Jerry Aucoin’s Dad’s wake Once when my sister Betty and I met Patricia for lunch And most recently Betty, my wife Rita and I visited her at the Marist Home in Massachusetts. She was always curious about what was going on with her cousins, she was a talented painter and photographer, and she had a great sense of humor. I remember a conversation when I mentioned that I had attended a universalist unitarian service one Sunday morning and she said , Oh Tom , those people will believe anything and then she laughed her laugh. We all laughed. Any way, my condolences to the family and know that she will be missed. Tom Bohan North Port, Florida PS my sister Betty just shared this picture with me this morning which I will upload with this post.
