Obituary for Domenico Caruso

Of Waltham, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning January 5th, 2019 in his home at the age of 84.

Born on October 13, 1934 in Messina, Italy; son of the late Candeloro Caruso and Antonia (Lisa) Caruso. Domenico immigrated to the United States as a young man and has resided in Waltham for over 50 years.

Domenic was employed with the Raytheon Corporation in Waltham for many years.

He was an amazing cook and loved tending to his garden. He enjoyed traveling on a regular basis back to see family and friends in Italy.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Concetta (Bella) Caruso in 2003.

Domenic is survived by his devoted & loving nieces and nephews; Theresa Lazaro and her dear companion Jim Lupo of West Bridgewater, Joanne Lupo and her husband Michael of West Bridgewater, Maria McGovern and her husband Jimmy of Palm Coast, Florida, Peter Bella and his wife Janice of Newton, Carolyn McCormick and her husband the late Kevin McCormick of NH, Chris Bella and his wife Theresa of Waltham and Barry Bella of New Jersey. In addition he is survived by many cherished great nieces, nephews, great great nieces & nephews, and his loving companion for several years Mary Mojave.

Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Domenico’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Friday Jan. 11th at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Belmont Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Friday prior to the funeral service from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
