Obituary for Georgianna Charlene "Georgie" Lynch (Charest)
Georgianna Charlene (Charest) Lynch of Leominster, entered eternal peace on January 5, 2019. Born March 20, 1949, Georgie was the daughter of Charles and Greta Charest (both deceased). She was sister to Anthony, Charles Jr. (deceased), Loretta Barrile and Kathleen Magazu. She will be greatly missed by her husband James and sons Arthur, Christopher, David and Matthew, as well as her daughters-in-law, brother-in-law, 8 grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews.
Georgie had a great love of life. She couldn’t resist children, babies, animals and flowers. She made instant friends wherever she went, including the grocery line, thrift shop and flea market. She was especially drawn to people who were sick, disabled or going through a tough time in life. Being dyslexic herself, she was very caring and understanding to people with disabilities. Her husband, children, and grandchildren have fond memories of vacations in the white mountains and the cape. She believed strongly in angels, and every time we see one, we will think of her. We will never forget our beautiful wife, mother, sister, mother-in law, aunt and grandmother.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 9 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Georgianna’s life at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall St., Waltham, at 10 am. Interment will take place at the V. A. Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:45 pm. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4-8 pm. Parking attendants will be on duty.
