Obituary for John P. Giusti

John P Giusti of Hudson, MA passed away Sunday morning, Dec. 09, 2018, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester, MA, after a battle against liver cancer. John was born in Waltham and lived most of his life in Waltham. He was 82.

He worked for Polaroid over 30 years and served in the United State Army. His last six months in the Army he served as a Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery before being discharged from the Army.

John loved all Boston sporting teams, especially the Patriots and Red Sox. In his spare time, John enjoyed gardening, cooking and showing his sons and grandkids how to make homemade Ravioli. He loved to watch his sons, daughter and grandkids playing sports. He made almost every football, soccer, basketball, wrestling, baseball and Lacrosse games that his family played.

He was the loving husband of Elizabeth Ann (Davis) Giusti; son of the late Umberto and Mary (Del Signore) Giusti and brother of the late Thomas Giusti, Emilio Giusti, Theresa E. (Giusti) Valdanbrini and Mary (Giusti) Thompson. He is survived by his sons, John Giusti and wife, Lisa of Brockton; Robert Giusti and wife, Cindy of Brentwood, NH; Brian Giusti and wife, Stella of Waltham; Steven Giusti and wife, Kimberly of Franklin, NH; Scott Giusti and wife, Julie of Hudson; daughter Lynne (Giusti) Doucette and her husband David of Hudson; his sister Elizabeth Hart of Waltham; his brothers, Anthony Giusti of Burlington, Joseph Giusti of Florida. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services in celebration of John's life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, Waltham on Saturday morning, Dec. 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm and at 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm his sons, daughter and grandkids would like to honor him by telling favorite stories of John's life. Burial will be private at Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, 10 Judith Road Worcester, MA.
