In his spare time, Al enjoyed traveling, spending time on Cape Cod in his home, throwing parties, and socializing. He loved to be around people and would make friends with anyone he spoke to. Most of all Al was loved his family especially being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Al was the beloved husband of the late Pauline (Milero) Casella and brother of the late James Casella.

He is survived by his loving children, Kristel Dahlstedt and her husband Edward of Brookline and Curtis Casella of La Jolla, CA, former daughter-in-law Tara Casella also of La Jolla, his sisters Mary “Penny” Kuhn of West Newton and Sylvia McDonough of West Newton, and his cherished grandchildren Corey Dahlstedt and his wife Jennifer of Weston, Danielle Dahlstedt of Brookline, Evan Dahlstedt of Brookline, Zachary Dahlstedt and his wife Annie of Weymouth, Dylan Casella, of La Jolla, and Luciana Casella of La Jolla, and his great grandchildren Lucio, Marissa, Chole, and Maizie.
