Obituary for Nancy Claire Nelson (Leonard)
Nancy Claire (Leonard) Nelson, 78, of Framingham (formally from Waltham) passed away peacefully at Saint Patrick's Manor Nursing home in Framingham on Monday July 19, 2021. after battling Alzheimer’s and cancer.
Born on May 18, 1943 to the late William Francis and Bella Maria Leonard of Waltham Massachusetts.
Nancy worked for Raytheon for 17 years and retired between the years of 1996-1997. Nancy loved to dance and listen to music. She loved being around family and friends laughing and having a good time. She loved to go out for dinner, playing cards and getting hot fudge Sundaes from Friendly's. She also loved pizza and is famous for playing her lottery numbers in hopes of winning her million dollars.
Nancy is survived by her children Kenneth E. Nelson of Goffstown, NH and Deborah L. (Nelson) LeBlanc and her husband Michel J. LeBlanc of Framingham; her cherished grandchildren Jessica (Nelson) Jacqueson and her husband Michael of Goffstown, NH; Amanda (Miller) Matterazzo and her husband Michael of Framingham and her adoring great grandson David Jacqueson. Her brother-in- law James Handrahan. In addition to many nieces, nephews and her loving friend/caregiver Melissa Ramsey of Framingham.
Predeceased by her dear sister Carol (Leonard) Handrahan and her former husband Jack Lee Nelson.
Friends and family are respectfully invited to share in Nancy's loving memory while visiting with her family in The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco and Sons Memorial Chapels, located 773 Moody Street in Waltham on Friday August 06, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Parking attendants will be on staff. A celebration of her life will began at 1: 00 pm followed by an Internment at Calvary Cemetery.
