Obituary for James R Mula

James R. Mula

Of Waltham, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston. He was 88.

Born and raised in Waltham, James was a life long resident of Waltham. He was a graduate of Northeastern University.

Mr. Mula served honorably in the United States Marines Corps.

He worked for the City of Newton as a Civil Engineer for many years.

In his spare time, James enjoyed playing golf, old cars, chewing on cigars, taking trips to Foxwoods, and most of all spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandson. He also volunteered his time with the Waltham Council on Aging. James was easily recognized in Waltham driving around in his flame covered Dodge Magnum wearing his signature Cowboy Hat and will be missed by many.

James was the beloved husband of the late Marie (Anderson) Mula, and brother of the late Alphonse Mula, Jeannette DiGrace, Anna Clow, and Pasquale Mula.

He is survived by his loving children James Mula of Falmouth, John Mula of Billerica, Lynnann Laughlin and her husband Randy of Carlisle, and Dawn Marie Mula of Lincoln, and his siblings Carmen Mula of Somerville, James Mula of Waltham and Barbara Miles of Marlborough. He is also survived by his 10 cherished grandchildren and his great grandson.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Visiting Hours at Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels, 773 Moody St., Waltham, Wednesday evening, June 13, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. Services and Interment will be private. Parking attendants will be on duty.
