Obituary for Jesse J. Ricci

Of Laconia, New Hampshire formerly of Waltham passed away peacefully Saturday evening February 10th, 2018 with loving family by his side in his home at the age of 89. 

Born on July 17, 1928 in Waltham, son of the late Concenzio "James" and Julia (English) Ricci, Jesse was a lifelong resident of Waltham before moving to Laconia, New Hampshire 5 years ago. He spent many summers at the family cottage at Lake Winnisquam Beach Resort in New Hampshire. 

Jesse was educated in the Waltham School system and worked on his father's farm as a young man. He then became co-owner and operater with his brother the family farm stand known as "Ricci Farm Stand" on Trapelo Road in Waltham for many years.

He was a past member of the Waltham Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1018. 

Jesse loved the spending time outdoors especially gardening. He was a passionate and diehard Boston sports fan following the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, Boston Celtic's and New England Patriot's. He himself played in an adult hockey league until his 50's.

Most important to Jesse was the time spent with his family and his friends. He cherished those moments and found the greatest enjoyment with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

Dear brother of the late Francis Ricci, Amelia Ferrick, Eleanor Tilton, Lena Rita, Florence Sallese and Mary Lane. 

Beloved husband for 66 years to the late Audrey J. (Breault) Ricci, who predeceased him in December of 2017.

Jesse is survived by his devoted & loving children Jimi Ricci and his wife Charleen of Uniontown, PA, Cheryl O'Reilly and her husband Patrick of Laconia, NH and Ronald Ricci and his wife Trisha of Waltham, his cherished grandchildren Brain and Jessica Ricci, Patrick and Kevin O'Reilly, Alyssa and Jill Ricci, and his adored great grandchildren Patrick, Karah, Brecken and Cohen O'Reilly. In addition he is survived by many nieces & nephews.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Jesse's Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St, WALTHAM on Wednesday Feb. 14th at 11:00 a.m. Visiting Hours will be held in the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday Feb. 13th  from 4 - 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Central New Hampshire VNA & Hospice, 780 N. Main St., Laconia, NH 03246.
