Marion E. (Gogan) Aucoin, Dunckel
June 13, 1923 – January 26, 2018

Marion passed away peacefully at age 94 surrounded by her six children and two grandchildren on Friday, January 26th at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston after a short illness. Marion was born and raised in Waltham, Massachusetts, the only daughter of (Joseph) Arthur Gogan and Jeanne (Penney) Gogan. She was a graduate of St. Charles Catholic School and formerly worked at the Waltham Watch Factory. While raising her six children and after losing her first husband, Charles D. Aucoin, in 1963 she worked as a waitress at Howard Johnson’s. At age 50, she remarried Russell A. Dunckel, who preceded her in death in 2013. Marion was a special lady, living on her own in Manomet overlooking Cape Cod Bay, working on special projects of knitting and sewing. She was an expert at crossword puzzles and Suduko which she completed while watching her favorite game shows, NASCAR races and the NE Patriots. She loved taking rides along the Plymouth coast line and watching the waves and ships passing by. Marion leaves her six children, Cheryl Norton of Charlestown, Patricia LeBlanc of Jefferson, Georgia, Judith Ranger of Pepperell, William Aucoin of Waltham, Brian Aucoin of Framingham and Michael Aucoin of Billerica., seven grandchildren as well as several great grandchildren. Arrangements by Brasco Funeral Home will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Boy’s Town, 200 Flanagan Boulevard, P.O.
