Obituary for Patrick Philip DiTommaso

Patrick P. DiTommaso

Of Lunenburg, formerly of Waltham, passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, January 7, 2018 at the Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester. He was 92.

Born in Leominster and raised in Newton Centre to the late Valerino and Katie (Tiberio) DiTommaso, shortly after graduating from Newton High School, Patrick moved to Waltham where he was a resident for over 75 years.

Mr. DiTommaso served honorably as Private First Class in the United States Army Company E 12th Infantry Regiment during World War II.

He worked as a carpenter for the City of Waltham School Department for many years.

Patrick was a lifetime member of The DAV, the American Legion post 156, and the Veteran's of Foreign War Sullivan Post. He was also a member of the Waltham Elks Club, and loved to Travel with his wife in his spare time

He is survived by his loving wife of 75 years Olga (Daddona) DiTommaso, his devoted children Patricia Cannistraro and her husband David of Stow, Michael DiTommaso of Bedford, and Donna Silva and her husband Joseph of Lunenburg, and his sister Lorraine Connelly and Marianne Paglia both of Newton. He is also survived by 10 grand children, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews

He was the beloved father of the late Diane Brainerd.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend A Funeral Service in celebration of Patrick's life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., Waltham, Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9 to 11 a.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
