Obituary for William E. Caruso

William E.  Caruso
Of Waltham, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning December 20th, 2017 in his home at the age of 87.

Born on June 15, 1930 in Newton; son of the late Antonio Caruso and Cassandra (Myers) Caruso, Bill was raised in Newton and has been a Waltham resident since 1959.

Bill was employed with the Facilities Department at Regis College, then with the Waltham News Tribune, and retired as a Laborer from the Town of Weston Department of Public Works Cemetery Division,

Bill lived life to the fullest, he enjoyed taking walks, drinking & gambling. As a young man, Bill was an amateur boxer known as "Kid Caruso".

He had been an associate member of the VFW Post #2152 and for the past few years a Friend of Bill W. He loved watching Billy Graham and caring for his two cats Tiger 1 and Tiger 2!

Bill is survived by his devoted children Marie Bonilla Batista and her husband Anibal of Waltham, Nancy Caruso and her husband Charlie Medeiros of Waltham, Tina Caruso Koenig of San Diego, California and the Hon. Mark J. Caruso of Schenectady, New York, his loving grandchildren Angel Jr., Vanessa, Marcus, Jimmy, Megan, Jose, Kendra, Gabriel and Alexandra, his adoring great grandson Angel III and his dear sister Myrtle Garro of Cambridge. In addition he is survived by numerous nieces & nephews.

Former husband of the late Elaine M. (Thurston) Caruso, grandfather of the late Michelle Batista and dear brother of the late Marjorie Tyson, Lynne Baldi, Samuel and William “Willy” Caruso.

Relatives & Friend are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of William's Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Wednesday evening Dec. 27th at 7:30 p.m. Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. Interment will be held at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130
