Theresa Ellen LaCava
Of Waltham & West Yarmouth, passed away Friday morning February 8th, 2019 in Maplewood at Mayflower Place Nursing & Rehabilitation in Yarmouth. She was 101.
Born on March 7, 1917 in Waltham; she is daughter of the late Luigi and Maria (DePhillips) DeMarco. Theresa was raised in Waltham and had been a resident for more than 98 years before moving to West Yarmouth.
Theresa was a devoted and loving homemaker to her husband and three sons throughout her life. When more than one person entered her kitchen, her voice echoed throughout the house;
"Get out of MY kitchen!!"
Theresa's central focus in life was her family, but she enjoyed playing bingo, quiz games and vintage radio music.
Beloved wife of the late Charles A. LaCava, her dazzling living-room dance partner during Lawrence Welk TV shows.
Theresa is survived by her loving and devoted children: Joseph L. LaCava of Cumming, GA, Charles A. LaCava Jr. of Lexington, and Robert S. LaCava of Mashpee, her dear sister-in-law and niece "Nana-Mae" Mary LaCava. In addition she is survived by 5 cherished grandchildren, 6 adoring great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service in celebration of Theresa’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons 773 Moody Street, Waltham on Friday morning Feb. 15th at 11:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Friday prior to the funeral service from 10 – 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham.
