Wallace Henry Maloney, Jr.

Of Newtonville, passed away, Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Emerson Hospital in Concord. He was 89.

Wally put his family first, loved his place in Maine and his tractor. He loved playing cards and fishing.

He served honorably in the Air Force during the Korean War. He spent 30 years as a firefighter on the Newton fire department.

Beloved husband of 60 years of the late Nancy Maloney and bother of the late Kimball Maloney, Arlene Farago, Flagg Maloney, Merrill Maloney and Aubrey Maloney.

He is survived by his loving children Mike Maloney and his wife Lynette (Bison) of Norton, Michelle Tagarelis and her husband George of North Andover, Pamela Lyne and her husband Gerald of Attleboro, and Sandra Carter and her husband Roger of Westford, his brothers-in-law Anthony Farago, Francis Terrasi and William Sullivan, his sister-in-law Lorraine Maloney, and cherished grandfather of Tracey and Frank Michienzi, Michael and Kristin Maloney, Jessica, Bonnie, Mollie, Gerald, Annie, Christopher, Danielle, Benjamin and Lillian. Also survived by his great grandchildren Michael John and Mikayla, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours from the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian burial in celebration of Wally's life at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River St., Waltham at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham. Parking attendants will be on duty.
