Of Auburndale, passed away Wednesday afternoon November 22nd, 2017 surrounded by her loving family in Newton - Wellesley Hospital at the age of 90.
Born on July 22, 1927 in Platania, Italy; daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria (Mercuri) Villella, Laura was raised in Nicastro, Itlay and immigrated to the United States and had resided in Newton for the past 50 years.
Laura was employed as an Assembler with C & K Manufacturing in Newton.
She had a strong faith in her God and was a daily communicant of Corpus Christi / Saint Bernard Parish. Laura enjoyed gardening and driving many of her friends to various appointments and shopping.
Beloved wife of the late Domenico Villella.
Devoted & Loving mother of Cristina Bonadio and her husband Anthony of Waltham, Luigi Villella and his wife Vincenza of Italy, Maria Rametta and her husband Alberto of Auburndale, Angela Nicolazzo and her husband Nicola of West Newton and Antonietta Bonadio of Newton. Cherished grandmother of 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews all over the world.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in Celebration of Laura's Life on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody St, WALTHAM with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Bernard's Church, 1523 Washington St, Newton at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Newton Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 3-7 p.m.
