Mary J. (Bonfiglio) Voner

Of Belmont, passed away peacefully, Thursday evening, September 14, 2017 at the Bright View Assisted Living. She was 100.

Born in Boston, to the late Antonino and Natala (LaFauci) Bonfiglio, she moved with her family to Belmont as a child where she was a resident for the rest of her life. She was a graduate of Belmont High School.

Mary worked at Raytheon for many years and at the Draper Labs of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

In her spare time Mary enjoyed listening to music, dancing, cooking, and most of all being with her family.

She is survived by her devoted children Jeanne (Voner) Sellers and her husband Dr. William Sellers of Knowlton, Quebec, and Daniel J Voner, Jr. and his wife Martha (Kelley) of Burlington, her loving grandchildren Donald Voner and his wife Jennifer of Marlborough, Trisha Blanchet and her husband Scott of Chelmsford, Leslie Sellers and her husband Matt Bouldry of Salem, and Karen Sellers and Jim Buckingham of Montreal, and her 7 cherished great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Ann Bonfiglio of Plymouth and Helen Bonfiglio of Waltham and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers Domenic and Sam Bonfiglio.

Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4-8 p.m. at Brasco & Sons in Belmont. Parking attendants will be on duty.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to funeral services from Brasco & Sons Memorial, 325 Trapelo Rd., BELMONT, Tuesday, at 9 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Mary's life at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 920 Trapelo Rd., Waltham at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Operation Delta Dog, Service Dogs for Veterans, PO Box 121, Chelmsford MA 01824 or Take a Swing at Cancer, PO Box 5245, Framingham, MA. 01701-5245. Both non-profits were started by her grandchildren.
