Of Waltham, formerly of Boston, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Wingate Nursing Home in Weston. She was 90.

Born and raised in Boston to the late Giovanni and Edith (Mazzone) DeCarli, she was a longtime resident of Dorchester until moving to Waltham 12 years ago.

Phyllis worked as a bus driver for YCN transportation in the Newton area for many years.

She was a devoted family woman who adored spending time with her cherished grand son Patrick An Shane, both of Fitchburg.

She was the beloved wife of the late John E. Adams Sr. and is survived by her loving son John E. Adams, Jr. of Waltham.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., Waltham, Thurday from 5-7 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
