Of Waltham, passed away peacefully with loving family by his side on Thursday morning July 6th, 2017 in his home at the age of 84.
Born on October 9, 1932 in Cambridge; son of the late Philip W. Natale Sr. and Helen (Maree') Natale, Phil was a resident of Waltham for most of his life.
A graduate of B.C. High and Boston College, Phil was a double Eagle. He was an intellectual man, who furthered his education at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst graduating with a Doctoral Degree with honors. He was a member of the Phi Delta Kappa Honor Society.
Education was a huge part of his life, he had a constant pursuit of knowledge. Phil became the youngest Principal in the state at the age of 28. He taught public education in Wenham and Lynn, he had been a School Psychologist and a Guidance Counselor through the years.
In 1961 Phil won a poem contest for "Another Day" and had it published in 1995.
Phil loved the sun and going to the beach. He enjoyed walks by the ocean along Castle Island in South Boston and Kings Beach in Swampscott. In his spare time he liked to go for bicycle rides, read and write poetry, play the Clarinet and Alto Sax, go to the public library and read Charles Dickens.
He had a strong faith in his God, it was an important part of his life. Phil was an active & devoted member of Mary Immaculate Lourdes Parish in Newton where he was a Lector, taught CCD and was a Eucharistic Minister.
The most import aspect of Phil's life was his family. He got the greatest enjoyment in life being home surrounded by family.

BURIAL SERVICES WITH THE UNITED STATES NAVY MILITARY HONORS FOR PHILIP WILL BE HELD PRIVATE FOR HIS FAMILY AT SAINT MARY'S CEMETERY IN NEEDHAM.
RELATIVES & FRIENDS ARE RESPECTFULLY INVITED TO ATTEND A MEMORIAL FUNERAL MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL IN CELEBRATION OF PHILIP'S LIFE AT OUR LADY COMFORTER OF THE AFFLICTED CHURCH, 920 TRAPELO RD, WALTHAM ON THURSDAY MORNING JULY 13TH AT 10:30A.M.
