Obituary for Charles Phillips "Chuck" Agrillo

Charles Phillips "Chuck" Agrillo
Of Waltham, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening June 23rd, 2017 in his residence at the age of 65.

Born on July 18, 1951 in Waltham; son of the late Charles S. Agrillo and Gertrude Agnes (Pollen) Agrillo, Chuck was a lifelong Waltham resident.

He attended Saint Sebastian High School and furthered his education at American International College earning a degree in Sociology. Chuck was employed as a Outreach Coordinator for the City of Waltham Parks & Recreational Department with various sports programs for several years, but his greatest passion and enjoyment in life came from cooking. He was a talented chef & cook; he owned and operated a catering business as well as "Just Italian Restaurant" and the "Suds & Subs" Restaurant in Ashland.

Chuck loved following, coaching and playing sports especially baseball. His success on the baseball diamond led him to be an All-State Scholastic Catcher and scouted by minor league baseball organizations. He was a diehard baseball player, he enjoyed coaching his sons youth baseball teams at Nipper Maher & Connie Mack as well as softball leagues. He was an Umpire and officiated many games throughout his career.

His family truly was the most important aspect of his life, he enjoyed the time spent with his family & friends.

Chuck is survived by his loving children Kristina M. Agrillo of Newton and Charles E. "Chaz" Agrillo of Waltham, his dear siblings Pamela Giunta and her husband Paul of Marlborough, Sally Bolio of Concord, Paul Agrillo and his wife Carol (Coffey) of Colrain, and his devoted ex-wife Diane Coleman of Marlborough. In addition he is survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.

Brother-in-law of the late Steve Bolio.

Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Charles Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM, on Thursday morning July 6th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham.
