Obituary for Donald E. "Donnie" Godsoe Sr.

Donald E. Godsoe Sr.

Of Marlborough, passed away peacefully early Monday morning April 27th, 2020 at the River Terrace Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Lancaster at the age of 91.

Born on January 10, 1929; son of the late Clarence Godsoe and Sara (Daley) Godsoe. Don was raised in Belmont, and had been a resident of Billerica for 15 years before moving to Marlborough 18 years ago.

Don graduated from Belmont High School and had been employed as a School Bus Driver with the City of Marlborough for years. He spent his professional career as a Musician traveling the country entertaining as "Johnny Cash" and performed with looks like of "Burt Reynolds and Dolly Parton".

His family and his friends were always first and foremost; he cherished the time spent with his family. In his spare time Don enjoyed playing cards.

Don was predeceased by his daughters Cynthia Lee Hauver and Susan Oter.

He is survived by his children; Donald E Godsoe Jr. and his wife Terry Godsoe and their children Kerri Madison, Christopher Godsoe, Joey Eaton, Kevin Eaton and Andrew Eaton.; Deborah Brookfield and her children Shannan Lavalette, Errin Beaudry and Courtney Doherty Bonneau; Theresa Wilson and her children Kevin and Keith Thesher; Harold Godsoe and his children Kyle Godsoe, Meagan Godsoe, Joshua Godsoe; Sally Pearson and her children Bobby Pearson Chad Pearson; Edward Godsoe and his children Shane Godsoe , Natasha Godsoe, Ashley Godsoe; Nathan Godsoe;

and Lori Godsoe and her children Joshua and Kristy; Cindy's children Elizabeth Hauver and Austin Hauver and Susan’s children Jacqueline Gadman, David Oteri , Jeremiah Coughlin and Rob Oteri.

In addition he is survived by numerous nieces & nephews.

Out of genuine concern for those we love and care deeply about during this difficult time throughout the world and in our community; Funeral Services will be held PRIVATE for the Family in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons and burial will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery.

The Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home of WALTHAM assisted Don's family with arrangements.
