Of Lowell formerly of Waltham passed away suddenly, Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston. She was 59.
Born in Boston she was raised in Waltham by her loving parents Anne R. (Wayland) Velardi of Chelmsford and the late Vincent G. Velardi . Cindi lived most of her life in Waltham. She was a 1974 graduate of Waltham High School. She moved to Littleton for a couple of years and then finally settled in Lowell 5 years ago.
In her spare time Cynthia enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and most of all being with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a very happy, loving and generous person.
She was the beloved wife of the late John A. Cavooto, and sister of the late Vincent "Glen" Velardi.
Besides her mother she is survived by her loving son Jason A. Cavooto of Hudson, her loving siblings Geraldine Velardi Stevens and her husband Eugene of Framingham, Mark A. Velardi of Ayer, Rosanne Velardi LaCava and her husband John of Hudson, and Christopher Velardi and his Fiancée Kellie Salcedo of Chelmsford, and many nieces nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. She is also survived by her cherished dog Pookie.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Friday from 4-7:30 p.m. immediately followed by a memorial service in celebration of Cynthia's life at 7:30 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
