Of Waltham passed away, Wednesday, January 14, 2015, after a lengthy illness, at his home. He was 86.
Born and raised in Waltham to the late Joseph and Josephine, (Ristuccia) Yarossi, he was a lifelong resident of Waltham and a 1947 graduate of Waltham High School.
Peter worked as fire alarm salesman with several different companies for many years. He was a member of the Waltham Moose Club and the Waltham Elks Club.
Peter was an avid golfer and enjoyed making wine in his spare time, he also love all Boston sports teams, his favorite being the Holy Cross Basketball team with Bob Cousy and Bill Sharman. Most of all Peter loved being with his family especially his grandchildren.
He was the beloved husband of the late Anna (Sabetti) Yarossi, and brother of the late Pauline Doherty.
He is survived by his devoted children Paul Yarossi and his wife Anita (Naiman) of Kensington, NH, Mary Ellen Yarossi and her partner Gretta Flint of England, and Peter Yarossi and his wife Judith (McCann) of Beverly, his brother Richard Yarossi and his wife Patricia of Waltham, and his cherished grandchildren Mathew Yarossi and his wife Carrie of New Jersey, and Thomas and Ella Yarossi both of Beverly. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend funeral services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Peter's life at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River St., Waltham, at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
