Obituary for Richard James "Zeke" Petrie

Of Waltham, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, December 30, 2014. He was 82.

Born and raised in Waltham, to the late John Roy Petrie and Kathleen (Drinnon), he was lifelong resident of Waltham.

Zeke worked as a carpenter for many years.

In his spare time, Mr. Petrie enjoyed fishing and hunting

He is survived by his children Gloria MacNeil and her husband Doug of Waltham, Richard J. Petrie, Jr. and his wife Cheryl (Sullivan) of Waltham, David Petrie of Littleton, NH, and Bill Petrie and his wife JoAnne (Peters) of Marlborough, and his sister Jane Butler of Natick. He is also survived by his grandchildren Rich, Sean, Shannon, Ryan, Victoria, and Jillian Petrie, and Nicholas and Kevin MacNeil.

He was the grandfather of the late Steven MacNeil, and brother of the late Jack and Roy Petrie.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Monday, January 5, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
