Obituary for Noel Anthony Andrews

Noel Anthony  Andrews
Noel Anthony Andrews (aka Tucker or pops)died on October 25, 2014 in Boston, MA. Mr. Andrews was born February 21, 1935 in Kingston, Jamaica to his parents, Terrence Andrews and Lydia Beckett Andrews. He migrated to the United States in 1993 to be with his family. He was a millwright by trade and worked at Alcan Ewarton Works in St. Catherine, Jamaica for over 30 years. He married Florence Albertha Pryce in June 1968. He retired in 1985 and dedicated his remaining time caring for his mom and family estate while his family migrated to the United States in 1982.

Mr.Andrews was a lover of music, loved to cook, and loved his dogs (Rahtid, Mitzie, Blackie, Nero, Sheila, Skin, Flesh and Bones). He loved to play dominoes, he was a hard worker and great provider for his family. His children always talked about him being a dedicated father and an excellent provider. When times were hard he went above and beyond to provide for his family (as they say in Jamaica “tun you han’ and mek fashion”).

Mr. Andrews is survived by his loving wife Florence A. Pryce, daughter Marlene Andrews Henry and her husband Astley,Son Dean Andrews and twin sister Diane Andrews Waller and her husband Delroy, daughter Delta and husband Phillip Burke sr and son Edwy; sister Gloria Burrowes of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and grandchildren Patrice Burke, Bryan Ormsby, Phillip and kadia Burke and Nichole and sheree Henry. He is preceded in death by his sister, Winifred; brother, Valentine and nephew Hugh (Tony) Burrowes.

Mr. Andrews memorial will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Brascoe Funeral Home in Waltham, MA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mr. Andrew’s life.
