Of Waltham passed away peacefully, Monday, September 1, 2014 at the Holden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 61.
Born and raised in Springhill, Nova Scotia, Canada to the late Walter and Anna (MacDonald) O'Rourke, she has been a resident of Waltham for the past twenty years.
Ginny worked for the Walter E. Fernald School in Waltham for over thirty years.
In her spare time Ginny enjoyed arranging flowers, her dogs, and going on boat rides with her husband out of Salem. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years Jose Aguiar, her devoted son William "Bill" Plummer and his wife Wendy (Holmes) of Waltham, her sisters Sharon Fisher of Ontario, Mary Lynn Cahill of New Jersey, and Dawn Perino of Bedford, her brother Dennis O'Rourke of Hollis, NH, and her cherished grand children Emily and Ashley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her dog Bambi.
Sister of the late Gloria McPherson and Elaine Laurie.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours, Friday, September 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., Waltham. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date in Canada. Parking attendants will be on duty.
