Of West Newton, passed away peacefully Friday September 21st, 2012 in the Newton – Wellesley Hospital at the age of 96.
Born on December 6, 1915 in Waltham; beloved daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Shaughnessy) Minihan. Margaret was raised in Waltham and lived for most of her life in West Newton.
Family was most important to her and she loved spending time especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Margaret in her spare time enjoyed cooking, listening to music, Walden Woods Project and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
Beloved wife of the late John J. Quinn, devoted mother of the late Kevin C. Quinn and dear sister of the late Jimmy, Joseph, Mary and Pidgy.
She is survived by her loving children John J. Quinn Jr. and his wife Sharlett of Wyoming, James F. Quinn and his wife Mary of Virginia, Robert M. Quinn and his wife Brenda of Florida, Judith A. Valente and her husband Joseph of Framingham, Jane A. Quinn of West Newton and Thomas R. Quinn and his wife Jean of New Jersey, In addition she is survived by 9 cherished grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St, WALTHAM on Wednesday morning Sept. 26th at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Margaret's Life at Saint Bernard’s Church, 1523 Washington St, West Newton at 10:30 a.m. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday Sept. 25th from 4 – 8 p.m. Parking attendants on duty.
