Of Waltham, died Tuesday, April 5th, in his home at the age of 61.

The son of Shirley H. (Hall) Izzi of Florida and the late Attilio Izzi, he was born in Somerville and was raised and educated in Waltham where he had been a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1968.

In 1972 Mr. Izzi and his brother, Ed opened the former Izzi's Sub Shop on Trapelo Road in Waltham.

A devout Catholic, he had been a regular communicant at Saint Mary's Parish.

Mr. Izzi enjoyed going to the mountains and ocean.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, John Izzi and his wife, Debbie of Waltham and Eddie Izzi and his wife, Jackie of Wayland, his nieces, Sara Izzi, Carina McCauley, Dawn Izzi and Dianna Izzi and his nephew, Michael Izzi.

He is also survived by the caring staff of the Edinburg Center.

A Memorial Mass at Saint Mary's and inurnment at Mount Feake Cemetery will be held a date to be determined. The Brasco and Sons Memorial of Waltham is assisting the Izzi Family with arrangements.
